Your home, built by a family business

Jurial is a family-run company, founded in 2004 by Richard Johnson and Julie Lees. A great deal of our residential work comes from past clients and their recommendations.

Our established team has high quality skills in every area of construction and construction management, so one company looks after your build from the footings to the finishes, including bespoke joinery and specialist installations.

We work closely with local award-winning architects, surveyors and engineers. If you have not chosen a designer yet, we can recommend one.

What we build for homeowners

Every kind of residential work, each shown with a project we have finished. Point at a row, or scroll, to see it.

  1. New homes

Complete new houses, from footings to landscaped gardens. At Ladymead we built three terraced homes in keeping with their neighbours, and at Benett Drive a large contemporary family home on the footprint of an old bungalow.

  2. Extensions

Side, rear and full-width extensions, often with large roof lights and glazed walls that open the house to its garden.

  3. Loft conversions

Loft rooms with rooflights, dormers, shower rooms and new staircases, including a master suite with an open staircase at Lynton Close.

  4. Conversions

Buildings given a new life: a storage unit turned into a two-bedroom house, and a garage extended into a four-car garage and games room with a glazed link to the house.

  5. Whole-house remodels

Projects where the specification matters as much as the structure. At St George’s Hill we more than doubled an Edwardian house, with one of our project managers dedicated to the build.

  6. Gardens and outdoor spaces

Terraces, decking, steps, landscaping, and even a permanent garden railway, all built to the same standard as the house.

How a project works

From the first phone call to handover, you always know the price, the programme and who to talk to.

  1. Talk it through

Call or email us about what you want to build. If you need a designer, we can recommend local award-winning architects, surveyors and engineers.

  2. Clear pricing

Whether we tender in the traditional way or negotiate with you, you get detailed documentation and a transparent price before work begins.

  3. Programme agreed

Before the contract starts you know the programme and the costings, and we keep you clear on both all the way through.

  4. A tidy, safe site

Our team works to planned, monitored health and safety processes and keeps the site as tidy as it can.

  5. Handover

On larger builds one of our in-house project managers is dedicated to the job from the first day to handover.

Ask us something else

Yes. We work closely with a number of local award-winning architects, surveyors and engineers. If you have not appointed a designer yet, we can recommend one.

Whether we tender in the traditional way or negotiate the contract with you, we produce detailed documentation, so you understand our transparent pricing from the outset.

Yes. Before the contract starts and all the way through it, we keep you clear on the programme and the costings. That takes a lot of the pressure out of building.
